Trade
Fees
What a trade costs on POO.MEME, from the first buy on a curve to every trade after — and what creating a launch costs alongside it.
What a trade pays
| Who | What | Rate |
|---|---|---|
| Pons | Its own protocol fee, on every buy and sell, before and after graduation | 1% |
| POO.MEME | A fixed platform share, on top of the creator's own fee | 0.1% |
| The creator | The token's own fee, set at launch | Up to 9.9%, fixed for life |
A trade's total cost is Pons's 1%, plus the token's creator fee, plus POO.MEME's 0.1%. Gas is paid to the network, not to POO.MEME. 30% of Pons's own 1% is its own protocol share; the other 70%, along with POO.MEME's 0.1% and the creator's own fee, reaches the token's fee stream — see where that goes next.
Creating and launching a token pays Pons's own launch fee — set by Pons, not POO.MEME — plus network gas. POO.MEME charges nothing of its own to create or launch a token; its 0.1% share is on trades, not on creation.
The first few seconds
A brand-new curve carries one more charge for its first few seconds: a fee that starts near 99% and falls to nothing within about three seconds of the curve opening. It's there to blunt a bot buying in the same block a token launches, not an ordinary buyer arriving moments later. The wallet that creates the launch is exempt from it, so a creator's own opening buy never pays it — and a creator may name up to 32 more wallets exempt from it too, at launch.
Where the money goes after that
What's left after Pons's cut and POO.MEME's 0.1% flows to the token's own splitter — a contract the launch deployed for it, holding exactly the terms its creator set. Anyone may collect it; the caller's gas is refunded out of what's collected, up to 2%, paid in ETH even when the token's own pair asset is an ERC-20. From there it pays each module the creator named its own share, and the rest to the creator's payout address. See Run your token.
